This recipe will give you the fluffiest churros ever! I know that actual churros are typically denser, but this snack will definitely leave you craving more!
Ingredients
- 1 cup of water
- 2 1/2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 chunk of dark chocolate
- Heavy cream to taste
Recipe
1. In a saucepan, pour 1 cup water, 2 1/2 tablespoons white sugar, 1/2 tablespoon salt, and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil.
2. Bring the mixture to a boil.
3. Turn off the heat and fold in 1 cup of flour till firm.
4. Put the dough into a pastry bag or Ziploc bag.
5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or deep fryer.
6. Pipe the dough into the oil and fry until golden.
7. Put the fried churros onto a plate coated in tissue paper.
8. Mix together 2 tablespoons of white sugar and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon.
9. Roll the fried churros in the cinnamon mixture.
10. Break the dark chocolate into small pieces.
11. Eyeball the amount of heavy cream you want into a saucepan on medium heat.
12. Heat the cream till it is on the verge of boiling.
13. Turn off the heat and pour the hot cream into the chocolate.
14. Once the chocolate has melted, pour in more cream to taste and mix well.
15. Eat and Enjoy!
Tips
> Begin cooking the dough immediately after making it to avoid gooey churros.
> If you are using a Ziploc instead of a pastry bag, use 2 Ziplocs for strength.
> Pipe the dough thinly so that it cooks properly.
> Don't put too many churros in the pan at once, as it will cause the oil to soak up faster.
